Welcome Incoming Class of 2028

Hello Humanitas Families!

Welcome to our school family! We are excited to get to know you all over the next four years.

First, if you have not turned in your enrollment packet, please do that as soon as possible – preferably before the first day of school on August 6th. Packets were mailed out at the end of May, but you can also pick them up in our office.

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 at 8:30 am. Students may arrive as early as 7:45am. Students may be dropped-off and picked-up directly in front of the school on Arroyo. Safety is our number one concern. Please watch for students as you drive.  Please do not double park or have students cross away from the crosswalks. We also ask that you do not enter the school parking to drop-off/pick-up students or the parking lots of the companies around the school as that is private property.

Student dismissal on Monday-Thursday is at 3:30pm and at 2:23 pm on Fridays.

The first day of school, students are to report to their Advisory class.  Advisory classes will be posted in the Humantias quad on the first day of school (August 6) and students will be providd with their class schedules in Advisory Class that morning.  In Advisory, your student will receive an Humanitas lanyard. Please make sure that they bring this every day. They can wear it around their neck or hanging from a pocket or backpack. It must be connected to them and visible. This helps us keep the school as safe as possible. They will also be given a photo ID that they need to have with them every day.

Most teachers will ask that your students have a 100+ page, 8.5×11 spiral notebook for their classes. Otherwise, teachers will let students know during the first week what other supplies they will need for class. If your family needs support with getting these supplies please have your students talk to their teachers or counselor and we will help them out.

Important messages are sent through an automated system. The computer uses whatever information it has in the system to send messages – you can receive a phone call, email, text message, or all three. You can change your information through the Parent Portal or by coming into the office and updating the Emergency Card.

Back to School Night will be held on Monday August 29th starting at 5:00 in the Humanitas Quad. You can park in the school parking lot and enter through the Athletic gate near the football field.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns at 818-838-3915.

Again, we are excited to have you join the Humanitas family.
